Adu-ți aminte de mine când am sa fiu

dusă departe, într-al tăcerii tărâm,

nu ai să poți să mă ții de mână,

eu n-am să-ți pot spune adio.

Adu-ți aminte când n-ai să mai poți

zi de zi a-mi spune tot ce visezi:

ci doar să-ți aduci aminte, fiindcă, tu știi, la mine

n-or să ajungă vorbă ori rugăciune.

Iar dac-ar fi să mă uiți puțin, însă

să-ți amintești mai apoi,

tu nu te mâhni:

dacă ruină și beznă ar aduce

trecutul din ale mele gânduri,

mai bine zâmbește și uită

decât să te chinuie amintirea.
