Adu-ți aminte de mine când dusă voi fi

departe, într-al tăcerii tărâm,

de mână n-o să poți să mă ții,

eu n-am să pot adio să-ți spun.

Adu-ți aminte când n-o să mai poți

ce visezi zi de zi a-mi spune:

doar amintește-ți, fiindcă, tu știi, la mine

n-or să ajungă vorbă ori rugăciune.

Și de-ar fi să mă uiți puțin, însă

să-ți amintești mai apoi, tu nu te mâhni:

dacă ruină și beznă ar aduce

trecutul din ale mele gânduri,

mai bine zâmbește și uită

decât de-amintire să fii chinuit.
